The Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) Awarded Developmental Pathways the Early Intervention Local Program Contract for Arapahoe, Douglas, and Elbert Counties

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Aurora, CO – (March 21, 2024) – Developmental Pathways (DP), a leading provider of early intervention and case management services, is thrilled to announce its recent success in securing an Early Intervention Local Program contract, effective July 1, 2024, with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) to provide early intervention services to individuals and families in region 6, which includes Arapahoe, Douglas, and Elbert counties. After this transition, DP’s EI program will no longer serve the City of Aurora in Adams County.

DP was selected through a competitive process requiring local knowledge and expertise along with a track record of excellence in customer service, innovation, and commitment to delivering exceptional services.

“We are so excited to have been chosen to be the Early Intervention Service Broker for this contract,” said Matt VanAuken, DP executive director and CEO. “DP has continually been a leader in providing high-quality service coordination and direct service support to the children and families in our rapidly growing and expanding catchment area. Our team is dedicated, enthusiastic, and fully prepared to continue our partnership with the CDEC in delivering excellent care and assistance to our community.”

As the Early Intervention Service Broker for region 6, DP will continue to provide Early Intervention (EI) services to children who are eligible from birth to age 3. The EI program provides service coordination and additional supports for families who have a child with a delay in development and/or qualifying diagnosis to best encourage the child’s growth and allow them to reach their full potential. EI services are provided at no cost to families.
