The Brain Injury (BI) waiver helps people (16 yrs. & up) with a brain injury who need extra support to live in their communities. You can get these extra services along with your regular Health First Colorado covered services as long as they are not duplicative.CIH
Complementary and Integrative Health Waiver (CIH)
Age 18 & Up
The Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) waiver (formerly SCI Waiver) helps people living with a spinal cord injury (traumatic or nontraumatic), multiple sclerosis, brain injury, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, or cerebral palsy with the inability for independent ambulation over the age of 18.
CMHS
Community Mental Health Supports Waiver (CMHS)
Age 18 & Up
The Community Mental Health Supports (CMHS) waiver provides assistance to people with a mental illness that require long-term supports and services in order to remain in a community setting.
DD
Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver (DD)
Age 18 & Up
The Developmental Disabilities (DD) waiver provides access to 24-hour, seven days a week supervision through Residential Habilitation and Day Habilitation Services and Supports. There is a statewide waitlist for this program.
EBD
Elderly, Blind, and Disabled Waiver (EBD)
Age 18 & Up
The Elderly, Blind, or Disabled (EBD) waiver provides assistance to people ages 65 and older who have a functional impairment, or are blind, or to people ages 18-64 who are physically disabled or have a diagnosis of HIV or AIDS, and require long-term supports and services in order to remain in a community setting.
ICF
Intermediate Care Facility (ICF)
Age 18 & Up
An Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disability (ICF/IID) is a residential facility that is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to provide habilitative, therapeutic and specialized support services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
OBSS
OBRA Specialized Services (OBSS)
Age 18 & Up
OBRA Specialized Services (OBSS) provides integrated community-based supports to individuals with I/DD residing in nursing facilities. Support and services are similar to State SLS.
SLS
Supported Living Services Medicaid Waiver (SLS)
Age 18 & Up
The Supported Living Services (SLS) waiver provides a variety of services for adults with I/DD living in their own homes or with family in the community. This program is not a 24-hour program.
SLS
State Supported Living Services Program (S-SLS)
Age 18 & Up
The State Supported Living Services Program (S-SLS) program provides a variety of services for adults with I/DD including pre-enrollment into an I/DD waiver and ongoing supports for those who do not qualify for LTC Medicaid.
