Children’s Habilitation Residential Program Waiver

Birth through 20 yrs.

 The Children’s Habilitation Residential Program (CHRP) Waiver provides support for children and young adults (birth through age 20), who have an intellectual or developmental disability, very high needs or a serious emotional disturbance. This program is specifically for children and young adults who are in need of or at risk of out-of-home placement.

To qualify, your child..

  1. Needs to be 0 to 20 years of age
  2. Have been determined to have a developmental disability which includes developmental delay if under five years of age;
  3. Meet the intermediate care facility for people with developmental disabilities level of care as outlined in state and federal regulations;
  4. Have intensive behavioral or medical support needs that put them at risk or in need of out-of-home placement.

* Services are not billed separately but under the habilitation services covered and are part of residential services
