Developmental Pathways is thrilled to award departing Board member Mayre Lynn Schmit the inaugural Developmental Pathways Board of Directors Lifetime Achievement Award. This award demonstrates a board member’s significant, lifetime achievement of supporting people with I/DD through DP and the community.
Before joining our board of directors, Mayre Lynn enjoyed a career as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the Denver Metro area for over three decades, also serving as Director of Dental Marketing and recreating the role of Dental Recare Consultant. Her practice-building strategies and love of dentistry contributed to innovation and sustainable programming, leading her business to recognition as “Best Dentist” in 5280 Magazine during the last five years of her career. She resides in Arapahoe County with her husband, Dave, and their son, Brad, who has been in services with DP since 1999.
Marye Lynn served on DP’s Board as a member at large and family member for nine years and was a tremendous presence as a leader. She was an enthusiastic member of numerous committees, serving on the Executive Committee as secretary, the Public Affairs Committee as chair, the Nominating Committee as chair, and the Mill Levy/Fund Balance Committee as a member at large.
In her nearly a decade of service, Mayre Lynn attended countless DP staff and community events, working tirelessly to support our vision and mission. Her passion and service mindset will have a long-standing ripple effect and her impact on our Board, organization, and community cannot be overstated.

She is a wonderful example of how a family member of someone in our services can so positively impact our organization and ultimately, the community we serve.
