Developmental Pathways (DP) is thrilled to award departing board member Kristin Hoover the Developmental Pathways Board of Directors Lifetime Achievement Award. This award demonstrates a board member’s significant, lifetime achievement of supporting people with disabilities through DP and the community.
Throughout her nine years of dedicated service to the DP Board of Directors, Kristin served as a member at large, as Board President from 2020 -2023, and as a member of the nominating committee. She actively participated in numerous DP staff and community events and wholeheartedly contributed to our vision and mission. Her passion and expertise will continue to have a lasting impact, making her influence on our board, organization, and community truly remarkable.
Kristin is co-founder and executive coach for the Leadership Coach Group and serves on a global faculty at the Co-Active Institute. Her passion is championing and challenging individuals and teams to lead with purpose, intention, and impact. Before joining our board, Kristin enjoyed a 20+ year career in the Air Force as a negotiator, educator, and commander. She served as an Associate Professor and Commandant of Cadets at The Citadel, graduated from the USAF Academy, and earned two master’s degrees and a CPCC coaching certification. She has two rocket-fueled sons: Jacob, who receives services from Developmental Pathways, and Bodhi.
Matt VanAuken, CEO and Executive Director of DP, said, “Through so much over the last few years, Kristin has been an amazing leader, mentor, and friend. She is a wonderful example of how a family member of someone in our services can positively impact our organization, and she always strives to keep the entire board of directors engaged and active. It has been an honor having Kristin as our Board President these last few years, and I appreciate the very high bar that she has set for future board members to come!”
We are so very grateful to Kristin for her leadership, contributions, and hard work. We sincerely appreciate her commitment and dedication to our board and the community. We wish you well!
