π Sextortion Online Romance Scams and People with IDD

People with IDD are increasingly becoming targets of online romance scams and sextortion. Join THINK+change, a training and education program of The Arc of Aurora, in partnership with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, for an in-person training specifically for people with IDD.
Training content will review:
- What romance scams and sextortion are
- Red flags and warning signs
- Tips to connect safely
- How to do a Google Image search to identify a scammer
- Ways to report an online scammer
- How to stop communication with a scammer
- And more
Who should attend the training? A person with an IDD who is over 18 years old, has guardian permission (if applicable), uses the internet, and/or has experienced online scammers.
