💚 – Tiny Tots @ The Field at Stanley Marketplace

Inside the Orchestra for families is an immersive concert experience geared towards young listeners and their families and communities. Audiences are seated on the floor and surrounded by our 32 professional musicians, conductor, and guest artists during a 45-minute performance. These sensory friendly performances include multiple accommodations to meet the needs of a diverse audience. Children are encouraged to move and react to the music in whatever ways come naturally to them. Audience members can get up, move around, and leave the performance space whenever they need. House lights are always kept on and a narrator lets the audience know about each piece of music and what to expect before it is performed. Audience members are welcome to bring headphones or other necessary items like fidgets and we always have extra noise cancelling headphones on site. In the Let’s Build Program at the Field at Stanley, children will help the orchestra create, build, and even tear down some fun musical structures. We’ll play with the building blocks of music and create some fun sounds in the process. All Tiny Tots programs include an immersive concert, performances by guest artists, and meet and greet time with the musicians after the concert. We anticipate 350 attendees at each of the two concerts on July 8 (8:30 am and 9:45 am). We conservatively estimate 50 individuals will participate from the I/DD community, but hope to welcome more. Our capacity is 350 per show (to ensure a good experience is had by all). We hope Developmental Pathways will continue sharing our events in newsletters to help market to new audiences.
