Please join Linda Roan from the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome team for a presentation about current research opportunities for children and adults with Down syndrome (DS). Attendees will learn about common co-occurring conditions of DS, active clinical trials and other ways people with DS and their families can participate in Crnic Institute research.
Topics include:
- Clinical trials studying chronic constipation and Down Syndrome Regression Disorder (DSRD).
- The Crnic Institute biobank for Down Syndrome and how you might participate in research designed to help people with DS.
- An upcoming clinical trial for children with DS that will focus on improving the lives of children with Down syndrome by looking at the safety and benefits of early immunomodulation in children with DS.
- Studies that Colorado State University are doing that look at early health and motor abilities in Down syndrome, executive functioning in DS, and early learning in DS.
- Autoimmune skin conditions in DS.
